Meet Frankie – A Brilliant but Sensitive Border Collie Looking for His Perfect Person

Frankie is an incredibly smart, long-haired Border Collie with a loving heart and a thoughtful nature. He’s been with us since he was a puppy, but due to a new baby and an upcoming move overseas, we’ve made the difficult decision to find him a home where he can truly thrive.

Frankie attended socialisation and obedience classes as a puppy and has an impressive repertoire of tricks he’s eager to show off for treats. His sharp mind makes him quick to learn, but also means he tends to overthink situations, which contributes to his anxiety. Like many Border Collies, he is deeply sensitive and takes time to trust new people—but when he does, he forms an unbreakable bond.

What Frankie Needs:
• A calm, experienced owner who understands high-needs dogs
• A quiet home (no small children) where he can feel safe
• Plenty of outdoor space to explore and decompress
• A single owner or a couple—he thrives in a close-knit environment
• Continued support with his anxiety (he is on regular medication)

Social & Behavioural Notes:
• Frankie is submissive with other dogs on walks but, due to his high needs, would do best as the only dog in the household.
• While he has never shown aggression toward children , he is uncomfortable around them and would not suit a family environment.
