Reason for rehoming:
Mando deserves a whānau who can give him the time and attention that he deserves. Our s have changed in unforeseen ways since we first adopted him as a puppy. We feel like there is a family out there that can give him a better life than we currently do.

Home life:
He’s used to having company during the day, but it isn’t a must. He’ll be your shadow and will never turn down a cuddle on the couch. If you let him then he’ll sneak his way onto the bed in the night, trying to shimmy his way under the covers to be your little spoon.

Exercise:
Mando loves to be taken somewhere he can run and chase a ball. His favourite place of all is the beach. If he has a run around at the park for half an hour he’ll be happy to stay home for the rest of the day lazing around.

Training: Mando knows basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, come, paw, off, wait, leave it) and is very intelligent and receptive to training. Mando has great recall while off lead. He pulls on the lead if he’s excited to get to the park or it’s been a few days since an outing.
He considers himself a great guard dog and will bark if he hears someone come onto the property. When visitors first arrive he can be a bit “bouncy”, but this has settled down a lot in the past year now that he’s growing out of his puppyish ways. He likes to be acknowledged by everyone who comes and goes from the house, and will bring his ball to any visitors to play.

Animals:
Mando has always d with cats and is gentle with them, but will chase a cat he doesn’t know if they run. He responds well to being put in his place by cats. Mando is easy-going with other dogs and provides and receives social cues easily. He hasn’t d with other dogs before.

Children:
Mando s with a 1 year old and 3 year old and has been nothing but gentle and patient with them. He’s never shown any aggression towards them.
